Broad Street in Charleston SC

It’s that time of year again in Charleston! This weekend marks the kickoff to the season of festivals around here with the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (otherwise known as SEWE). The largest event of its kind in the country, SEWE draws in crowds of nature enthusiasts year after year. Whether you prefer oyster roasts, art exhibitions, fancy galas or birds of prey flight demonstrations, there is something for everyone here. And lucky for us in Charleston, the sunny and reasonably warm winter weather this weekend will be perfect for enjoying the outdoors.

Ever been curious to see how far a dog can jump? Or wondered just what kind of patience it takes to be a fly fisher? Come and find out the answers this Friday, Saturday and Sunday down at Brittlebank Park (and at other venues around the city). You won’t want to miss out on all of the fun and what’s sure to be the talk of the town. I’ll see you there!

For more information on the weekend and the full calendar of events, check out SEWE’s website.

Note: If you’re planning to attend any of the event’s coming up this spring and would like to discover more about all that life in Charleston SC has to offer, we invite you to have a look at our FREE Discover Charleston guide.
