With summer coming to a close, you may find yourself already missing beach days and backyard barbecues. There’s no need to worry! There is still plenty to look forward with the fall events in Charleston SC, not to mention cooler weather. Here is our list of some of the most anticipated upcoming events around town. If you truly want to get a feel for what it’s like to live in Charleston, we’d be happy to show you around!

1.  Charleston Restaurant Week

Twice a year this culinary mecca turns into a foodie playground where top restaurants offer discounted and “pre-fixe ” menus for just about two weeks. So pick the five-star restaurant you’ve always wanted to go to and make your reservation ASAP! 

2. Art Walks in the Broad Street Gallery District

Take a leisurely stroll through one of Charleston most distinct neighborhoods on the first Friday of each month through the fall and enjoy the hospitality of some of the finest local gallery owners. The First Friday Art Walks are a delightful evening for locals and visitors alike. Sip on some wine and start planning the interior design of your new Charleston home! On Friday, October 5th you’ll be able to peek inside the doors of our beautiful building, the Major Peter Bouquet House, as we are honored to be hosting a select group of talented artists from Greenville, SC whose works will be displayed throughout our offices.

3. Fall Tour of Homes

Brought to you by the Preservation Society of Charleston, you’ll want to experience the unique charm of Charleston by touring some of the most beautiful historic homes in the South from October 4th-28th. Experience first-hand the rich history and architecture of these stunning downtown neighborhoods. Once you start imagining yourself in these homes, you won’t be able to get the charm of Charleston off your mind! This will be another chance for you to tour our beautiful building, The Major Peter Bocquet House, as our building is featured on the tour every year. 

4. Garden Wine Strolls at Middleton Place

Tour the gardens in the lovely fall weather at Middleton Place, one of the most stunning plantations in the low country. From September through October 23rd, the plantation will host the Wine Strolls on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm. Call ahead for tickets, and try to make it to the last event for the masquerade finale!

5. Charleston Wine & Food Festival: Purchase your Tickets!

The Charleston Wine + Food Festival takes place in March, but tickets for the 2019 festival go on sale August 29, 2018 at 8:00am with a full preview of the schedule available on August 28, 2018 at 8:00am. – and they sell out FAST! This fun-filled event is a true spectacle for anyone interested in the burgeoning culinary culture in Charleston. Don’t miss out on purchasing tickets this fall, and we’ll see you in the spring!
